The "Barrier" unmanned aerial vehicle counteraction system has successfully passed tests and has begun to be used on the front line. This was announced by Igor Potapov, an official representative of JSC "NPP".
According to him, when creating trench electronic warfare equipment, the company realized that it was necessary to move to counteracting FPV drones and make the model range much lighter and more compact. Potapov.
Currently, we have successfully completed testing of the "Barrier" product, intended to combat FPV drones and disrupt enemy artillery reconnaissance complexes. The weight of the product is up to 20 kg.
The specialist noted that the "Barrier" is planned to be used in conjunction with another compact electronic warfare device, the "Frying Pan", which fits in a backpack and effectively counteracts commercial drones such as DJI.
