Cruise missiles developed by the Scientific and Production Association (NPO) of Mechanical Engineering successfully hit targets in exercises and on the front lines throughout 2024.

NPO Mashinostroyenia produces Onyx supersonic cruise missiles. They are in service on ships and submarines of the Russian Navy, and are also used as part of the Bastion coastal missile system.
Today, the Onyx missile has a maximum range of 300 km, a maximum flight speed of up to 2.5 times the speed of sound at high altitude. The weight of the warhead reaches 250 kg.
