В России открыли ряд новых объектов инфраструктуры: участок ЦКАД, скоростной подход к Крымскому мосту

New interchanges, approaches and terminals were opened as part of the ceremony

On Sunday, December 22, a ceremony was held to open air and road infrastructure facilities in a number of Russian regions. Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in it via video link.

The following were opened:

  • Vitebsk interchange in St. Petersburg, which will be the first stage in the creation of a latitudinal highway.
  • A high-speed 120-kilometer approach to the Crimean Bridge in the Krasnodar Territory, connecting the Don and Tavrida highways, providing seamless movement from St. Petersburg to Sevastopol.
  • A bypass of the village of Malye Vyazyomy in the Moscow Region, which will close the Central Ring Road and relieve a bottleneck on the Central Ring Road.
  • An 80-kilometer bypass of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny in Tatarstan, which will improve traffic safety and remove transit traffic from cities.
  • A 65-kilometer bypass of five settlements in Bashkortostan, which will also improve safety and environmental well-being.
  • Three new terminals at the airports of Stavropol, Magadan and Cheboksary. They will improve regional air transportation.

Putin noted the importance of consistent and continuous development of the country's transport infrastructure. He emphasized that over six years of implementing the national project "Safe Quality Roads", more than 150 thousand kilometers of roads have been built and repaired.

In total, it is planned to modernize at least 75 Russian airports in six years, and 250 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes. The President also announced the need to more actively increase direct air communication between Russian regions.
