Mobile operator Yota has announced that it will abolish roaming charges for using communication services in Crimea. According to information provided to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), the innovation will come into force no later than February 28, 2025.

Yota subscribers in Crimea and Sevastopol will be able to use minutes, SMS and Internet from their package without additional costs or pay for them according to the standard conditions of their tariff plan.

Prior to this, similar measures were taken by other operators. T2 Mobile and Rostelecom have already abolished surcharges, and Beeline will bring tariffs to the level of the home region from January 1, 2025. Megafon has pledged to eliminate surcharges by the same date as Yota - by the end of February 2025.
