The Russian Aerospace Forces use fifth-generation Su-57 fighters to operate in areas with a high concentration of air defense systems due to the aircraft's low radar signature. This was pointed out by the authors of the American publication Military Watch Magazine.
They noted that the fighter's invisibility on radars is not the main goal of the Su-57 developers. Until now, the main focus has been on reducing operating costs and reducing the need for technical maintenance of the machine.
To avoid the hassle of short-lived and very expensive radio-absorbing coatings, Russian designers have applied an innovative solution — fiberglass with the same characteristics.
For stealth, the Su-57 received flat nozzles — they cool the jet stream and make the aircraft much less visible in the infrared range.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the rarest BMD-3 was spotted during transportation by a tank carrier, only 137 of them were produced.
