AvtoVAZ continues to produce carburetor engines, although the plant has not produced cars with such engines for a very long time. A fresh photo has appeared online, showing several dozen new engines with a carburetor power system.
The manufacturer noted that from time to time it produces minimal batches of such engines for supply as spare parts.
The production of spare parts for cars that have long been discontinued is normal practice for almost any automaker.
Some companies go further in this and produce spare parts for cars that are already over 50 years old. In particular, Porsche still produces parts for the classic first-generation Porsche 911, which saw the light of day in 1963.
