A floating oil storage facility of project 04650 was laid down at the Galactica shipyard in St. Petersburg. Specialists from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping are monitoring the construction.

The vessels of the floating oil storage facility series of project 04650 will be the first built at the company's production facilities. A total of 10 units are planned in the series.

The vessel is designed for year-round storage, as well as dispensing and receiving liquid cargo.

The oil storage facility is being built according to the project of Baltspetsproekt LLC. The lower and upper parts of the vessel's hull will be made of steel concrete, the upper deck will be made of steel with 8 cargo tanks.

Characteristics of the 04650 project oil storage facility:

  • width — 23 m
  • board height — 14.8 m
  • deadweight — 17,875 tons
  • draft with cargo — 4.5m

The 04650 project oil storage facility can travel along sea and river bays with waves of 3 points.
