Russian engineers are developing a compact device for detecting unmanned aerial vehicles, the Dronoskop-5. Mass production will begin in Novosibirsk, according to the Dronoskop Design Bureau.
The Dronoskop product is a drone detector and simple direction finder; printed circuit boards have already been manufactured for it. The device operates on all drone frequencies, allows you to determine the direction to the drone, and perform radio reconnaissance.
That is, if other detectors simply signal the presence of a drone at a certain distance, then with the help of the Dronoskop you can determine the frequency spectrum and see the signal shape from the UAV. This is a more complex device, but it allows for a more detailed study of the radio environment.
In 2024 alone, about 600 Dronoskop devices were delivered to the Russian military. There were especially many positive reviews and thanks from the soldiers in 2023, when there were practically no means of detecting enemy drones.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the frigate Admiral Golovko with Zircons practiced combat operations in the English Channel.
