What breaks down?: "Moskvich 3" owners share their operating experience after 100 thousand kilometers

Owners report different experiences with parts replacement and car reliability

A section dedicated to breakdowns of cars that have traveled more than 100 thousand kilometers has appeared on the forum of owners of the "Moskvich 3" crossover. The model was released in March 2023, and there are already owners who actively use their cars, accumulating significant mileage.

Some owners share positive experiences, reporting that over 106 thousand kilometers they only changed consumables, without encountering technical problems. Another user also noted the absence of complaints, although his sunroof burst, but the reasons for this case are not specified.

With mileage up to one hundred thousand kilometers, the opinions of owners are more diverse. For example, some report that brake pads lasted up to 70 thousand kilometers, while others had to change them already at 10 thousand. In general, owners note that "the flight is normal", but emphasize that the condition of the car strongly depends on operating conditions.

Discussing the operation of models with a CVT, owners warn that these versions do not tolerate sudden starts and towing, which can negatively affect durability. Also, frequent and sharp braking leads to rapid wear of brake pads. Taxi drivers note that the interior trim loses its appearance faster due to intensive use.

Nevertheless, cases of factory defects are not excluded. For example, there are reports of problems with a flashing multimedia screen, which some owners were able to solve by rerouting the wiring. There were also isolated cases of breakage of the generator belt, rear view camera and drive oil seal. In rare cases, owners reported engine breakdowns, although the reasons were not specified.

Valve burnout is observed in cars running on gas, which also depends on the type of fuel used: propane or methane.

Currently, the cost of "Moskvich 3" is 1.7–1.9 million rubles. The crossover is offered with a 136-horsepower 1.5-liter engine and can be equipped with both a manual gearbox and a CVT. All versions have front-wheel drive.
