Import substitution successful: Barnaul starts manufacturing fuel systems for KamAZ trucks

The development replaced foreign counterparts

The Altai Plant of Precision Products (AZPI) has successfully implemented import substitution of fuel systems for trucks and special equipment. The new Common Rail equipment has replaced Bosh analogues.

The equipment includes accumulators, electronically controlled injectors, sensors, communication harnesses, a high-pressure fuel pump, and connecting pipelines. This equipment is used for new engines of trucks such as KamAZ, K5, Ural, MAZ, and Sinara locomotives.

It was noted that engines using the fuel system of Altai production require less frequent maintenance and are more fuel-efficient compared to foreign versions.

The first samples of fuel systems at the AZPI plant were produced 6 years ago. After the introduction of sanctions against Russia, the production of domestic fuel systems became particularly important. As a result, foreign analogues were completely replaced by domestic ones.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a new 12-cylinder diesel engine YaMZ-855 was shown in Moscow.
