The Russian Aurus Merlon motorcycle in a configuration for winter riding was presented at the "St. Petersburg International Gas Forum." This electric motorcycle is equipped with a sidecar, which cannot be sat in, as it is completely occupied by an additional traction battery with a liquid heater.
The battery on the motorcycle is designed to increase the range in winter conditions and improve weight distribution.
For comfortable operation in cold weather, the motorcycle is equipped with heated grips and seats. It was previously reported that the Aurus Merlon can operate at temperatures from 40 to -25 °C, its electric motor has a power of 190 hp, and the range is up to 200 km.
The motorcycle is planned to be used for the Honorary Escort of the Federal Security Service.
