Chery запускает производство автомобилей на бывших заводах Volkswagen, Nissan и Mercedes в России

According to Reuters, the new Exeed RX and Chery Tiggo 4 Pro models are already available for leasing

Yesterday, Reuters, citing multiple sources, reported that Chery cars are being assembled at three plants in Russia, previously owned by Volkswagen, Nissan, and Mercedes. Today, this information was further clarified by the "Chinese Automobiles" resource, citing Ruslan Latypov, head of "Kometa-Auto," a company that supplies spare parts for Chinese cars.

Latypov noted that Exeed RX and Chery Tiggo 4 Pro models produced in Russia have appeared on marketplaces for leasing. The Exeed RX was assembled at the former Mercedes plant, and the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro at the Volkswagen plant in Kaluga. The Exeed RX is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an automatic transmission, while the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is equipped with a 147-horsepower engine with a CVT.

According to Ruslan Latypov, more and more Chery cars are entering the Russian market with domestic VIN codes. This indicates a growing presence of Chinese brands in the Russian automotive market, which, in turn, creates jobs and supports economic activity.
