The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of the Rostec State Corporation) has developed a second prototype of the new generation AL-41-ST-25 industrial gas turbine engine. It is designed for pumping gas through pipelines, the state corporation's press service reported.
The developers have scheduled bench tests of the device before the end of this year. Then, comprehensive engine tests will be carried out at the compressor station.
Similar equipment has not been previously produced in Russia.
Among the advantages of the AL-41-ST-25 are quick installation and commissioning due to its compact size, lower weight compared to analogues, and an electronic engine control unit. The product features low emissions in accordance with the requirements of Russian and international environmental standards.
We expect the power plant's lifespan to be 120,000 hours, with the possibility of increasing it to 150,000.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UEC launched a new test bench for helicopter engines.
