The first test flight of the training aircraft of the S7 Group holding took place in the Moscow region. The aircraft was named S7 Tango.
During the tests, the aircraft took off from the runway, completed the first flight program and landed successfully.
The flight was organized jointly with SibNIA. Vladimir Barsuk, a first-class test pilot-instructor, was at the helm of the S7 Tango.
The aircraft is designed for four people. Two crew members and two passengers. The development is being carried out by the S7 holding. The fuselage of the aircraft is made of domestic composite materials. The aircraft's engine is still foreign — UL Power 520is, but the holding is actively developing its own engine of similar power.
The maximum flight range of the S7 Tango is 1100 km, and the maximum take-off weight is 1150 kg. The aircraft is planned to be used for training aviation personnel, as well as for sale to private individuals.
