Russian specialists have begun a more detailed study of the parts of the Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missile. They are currently studying the bottom part of the main warhead.
It contains a detonator, an intermediate charge that initiates the missile's warhead. To penetrate fortifications, a pre-charge is first activated, which creates a hole with a shaped charge jet, in which the studied part of the missile is then activated.
This is one of the elements of the missile's warhead, which destroys both fortifications and enemy manpower.
Storm Shadow/SCALP are Anglo-French long-range cruise missiles. They are launched from aircraft. The range of destruction is from 250 to 560 km, depending on the modification.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that an updated Uragan-1 MLRS on a BAZ-69092 Voshchina-1 chassis with an armored cabin was spotted on the front line. It protects the crew from heavy high-speed fragments.
