Vladimir Krupin, head of the design team at the Radart Design Bureau, announced that the company will complete the creation of a turret for the remote launch of three Kornet ATGM missiles during the autumn. The 98th Airborne Division of the Airborne Forces will be the first to receive this weapon.
According to him, after testing the turret in real combat conditions, the Design Bureau, together with other enterprises of the "people's defense industry", will deploy its serial production.
The turret with three tubes from the "Cornet" will primarily be intended for launches from various elevations. Given the solid firepower and range of ATGM missiles, the turret will be an excellent means of destroying enemy firing points, equipment, fortifications, and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, with the help of such weapons, a small infantry group can arrange ambushes and sabotage in the near rear.
Military expert Kirill Fedorov added that the appearance of a turret with three Kornet missiles will increase the firepower of infantry groups of airborne troops and increase the safety of calculations of portable missile systems.
