Warships, submarines, and coastal missile systems (BRK) of the Pacific and Northern Fleets launched missile strikes against naval targets of a mock enemy during the strategic command and staff exercises "Ocean-2024", which were previously announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a teleconference. The video of the firing was published by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
According to the press service of the defense department, missile boats "R-14" and "R-18" fired Moskit cruise missiles in the Sea of Japan. They hit a mock enemy ship. Then the submarine "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" launched a Kalibr-PL cruise missile.
The Pacific Fleet corvette "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" struck a target with a Kh-35 cruise missile from the Uran missile system. Another strike with Granit missiles was carried out by the nuclear-powered missile cruiser "Omsk."
Crews of the Bastion and Bal coastal missile systems of the Pacific Fleet fired Onyx and Kh-35 missiles from the coast of the Sea of Japan. In the Barents Sea, the Northern Fleet frigate "Admiral Golovko" struck with a Kalibr cruise missile. Objective control of target engagement was provided by the Forpost-R drone.
