The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, told reporters on the sidelines of the EEF about the prospects for conquering the international aviation market.
We must think about exports, about the international market. And, of course, the machine [SJ-100, — ed. note] when entering the export market must already be brought to all the technical characteristics that are currently being declared. This is a separate, also difficult task, associated with possible additional work on experimental design work. But we must definitely aim for this, because, I repeat again, our market is not sufficient for the competence and the volume of production that we plan to form.
Alikhanov also noted that the Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with UAC and Rostec, will consider the next stages of the integrated development of civil aviation from the point of view of Russia gaining a share in the international market.
SJ-100
A Russian promising short-haul narrow-body aircraft, which began to be created after the introduction and strengthening of Western sanctions. In fact, this is a new version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100, built with maximum import substitution of components.
In parallel with the import substitution of components, Russian aircraft designers are improving processes related to the reliability of aircraft systems, increasing its comfort, safety and maintaining airworthiness.
Two SJ-100 samples are currently ready for certification. The first is undergoing certification tests in Zhukovsky since the beginning of June. However, it performs flights on Franco-Russian SaM-146 engines to speed up certification. More than thirty flights have already been successfully carried out.
The second aircraft is a fully import-substituted SJ-100. It has already undergone frequency tests in August, and is now only waiting for the arrival of domestic engines to continue testing.
