The Russian telecom operator Tele2 is preparing for a rebranding. The company has applied for registration of new trademarks, including the logo "t2".
It is assumed that this step is related to the expiration of rights to use the Tele2 brand in 2024. The application was submitted to Rospatent on August 9 of this year on behalf of T2 Mobile LLC (the legal entity of the Tele2 operator, part of Rostelecom).
It is worth noting that the Swedish Tele2 AB sold its Russian "daughter" to VTB in March 2023 with the provision of the right to use the brand for 10 years. Later, the mobile operator was acquired by Rostelecom.
