The newest "Osoed" drone hunter was developed in Russia. It is capable of taking out enemy drones by throwing nylon or Kevlar nets onto their rotors. Unique footage of live tests of the FPV interceptor has appeared online.
The video shows the "Osoed" approaching a mock enemy drone from above and throwing a net over it, which binds the rotors and causes the device to crash to the ground from a great height.
The maximum flight speed of the "hunter" is 140 km/h, with the prospect of increasing to 230 km/h. The aiming range of the net throw can reach 5-6 m.
At night, the "Osoed" can use a thermal imager. The drone is equipped with a video transmission channel and a command and telemetry channel.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia may return to creating a fifth-generation vertical takeoff aircraft.
