Major kicksharing companies in St. Petersburg have come up with another method to combat violators on electric scooters. This involves teams of employees who will record violations of traffic rules (traffic laws) and issue fines.
Job titles and fine amounts vary - it all depends on the company. Employees explain the rules of the road to drivers of personal mobility devices (PMDs) in various parts of the city. Violations are recorded on camera and transmitted to special departments of kicksharing companies for further penalties.
Yandex Go has prescribed three fines. For not dismounting at a pedestrian crossing - 1000 rubles. Riding double - 3 thousand rubles, improper parking - 500 rubles. Fines for other traffic violations are charged individually.
MTS Urent fines 5 thousand rubles for tandem riding, not dismounting - 1000 rubles. Riding while intoxicated - 100 thousand rubles, and transferring a PMD to a minor will cost 10 thousand rubles.
It is worth noting that kicksharing employees cannot yet record all violations. Cameras do not always help either - the images are blurry. But one thing is clear - in large cities, authorities and kicksharing companies are closely concerned with punishing scooter violators. Speeding like before has become expensive.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that the State Dumaapproved fines for scooter riders.
