A new section, Weekends, has appeared in the Yandex Travel mobile application. It makes it possible to quickly choose a city and plan a vacation for a couple of days.
In the mobile application, you can now see the schedule of events and the weather in the city. There is no need to book a hotel in advance. If nothing is of interest, you can choose another city for a weekend getaway or reschedule the dates.
The Intercity taxi fare is available for Moscow residents. The availability of tickets for airplanes and trains is also displayed here.
The section includes all the functions of My Trip. Travelers have the opportunity to see the city's poster, get information about events, attractions and restaurants on the map. The built-in smart camera will allow you to find out historical information about monuments and architectural objects of interest.
The most popular cities for weekend getaways are near Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar. They account for 55% of the total number of trips.
A third of travelers prefer sightseeing and country hotels. Slightly more than a quarter of Russians choose hiking and fishing. About 12% of travelers book spa hotels and relax in places where they can play sports.
