A pilot site for a situation center to monitor unmanned aerial vehicles will be launched before the end of 2024 in Novosibirsk, said Sergey Tsukar, head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the region.
The main task of the center is to monitor unmanned aerial vehicles in the sky.
Specialists of the center will conduct round-the-clock monitoring of UAVs. At the same time, municipalities will be entrusted with issues related to the coordination of flights on the basis of a unified air traffic management information system from Rosaviatsia.
Thus, the digital platforms of the situation center will be integrated with flight planning systems. A decision on the allocation of budget funds for this area will be made after the implementation of the pilot project.
What tasks will the UAV flight monitoring situation center solve:
- coordination of flights over populated areas
- monitoring of the air situation
- prompt interaction with participants in the organization of flights
- collection of statistics and preparation of analytical data for regulatory authorities
