Rostec State Corporation has created a domestic ultrasonic device called "Lithotripter LT-1." The device will allow the destruction of kidney stones using a non-contact method, the company's press service reported.
"Lithotripter LT-1" operates on the principle of remote shock wave lithotripsy (RSWL). It involves the destruction of kidney stones using a focused ultrasonic wave. This approach is the most gentle for the patient, does not require surgical intervention or the insertion of catheters.
Localization of kidney stones is performed using X-ray and ultrasound equipment. RSWL does not require prolonged hospitalization; the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis.
The complex, developed by specialists from our holding company, has passed all the necessary tests and meets medical standards. Obtaining a registration certificate from Roszdravnadzor allows the device to be used in medical practice – both in public and private medical institutions.
"Lithotripter LT-1" was developed with the assistance of experienced urologists. It is planned to be launched into mass production soon to replace imported counterparts.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the first Russian sample of a graphene sensor was created in Novosibirsk.
