The Minsk Automobile Plant offers customers two new car models: the MAZ "Lira" minibus (281120) and a van with the same name (3650A0). These are renamed "GAZelle NN", which are officially sold in Belarus.
Both cars are equipped with a 2.5-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower. The cars are equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, the website of the Minsk Automobile Plant indicates a 5-speed manual transmission. This is probably a mistake.
It is unknown how popular the Russian "GAZelles" will be in Belarus, but the Belarusian Belgee X50 (renamed Chinese Geely Coolray)are being snapped up in Russia much more actively than in the country of origin.
