JSC "V/O "Isotop" (Scientific Division of Rosatom State Corporation) has sent the first batch of lutetium-177 to the People's Republic of China (PRC), Rosatom's press service reported.
The supply of Russian-made lutetium-177 opens up new opportunities for cooperation with our Chinese partners. We hope that in the future this will lead to an increase in trade between our countries.
Lutetium-177 is a medical isotope widely used in nuclear medicine for targeted cancer therapy. Diagnostics using radiopharmaceuticals makes it possible to start cancer treatment at an early stage.
It is worth noting that JSC "V/O "Isotop" is the main enterprise of Rosatom operating in the isotope products markets. The number of foreign partners of the manufacturer already includes 170 companies in 50 countries. The development of international trade and economic relations will continue.
