The Russian government has expanded the experiment on labeling radio-electronic products. Now it includes smartphones, laptops, tablets, phones, and printed circuit boards.

The purpose of the experiment is to test the labeling system and its interaction with sellers, as well as to remove counterfeit products from the market. And there is a lot of it: among smartphones - 31%, for laptops - 30%, but smartwatches are most often counterfeited, the share of pirated products in them reaches 63%.

70 companies are participating in the pilot project. It will last until August 31, 2025: laptops, smartphones and phones will be labeled from June 10, 2024 to April 30, 2025, and printed circuit boards - from July 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025. Labeling will not affect the cost of electronics.
