A Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Russian Progress MS-27 cargo ship has successfully launched from Baikonur. Traditionally, the launch was broadcast on the space state corporation's social networks.
The carrier rocket this time was not quite ordinary. It was decorated with images related to the anniversaries of people and events from the space history of Russia.
The flight is proceeding normally. It will last more than 50 hours, and docking with the ISS with the Russian segment module "Poisk" is scheduled for June 1.
Among the cargo to be delivered to orbit are also special gifts for the commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps, Oleg Kononenko. On June 21, the world record holder for the number of hours spent in space will celebrate his 60th birthday on the ISS.
