Russian IT giant Yandex has launched the Yandex Maps API (Application Programming Interface - a set of methods and rules by which different programs communicate with each other and exchange data) for Turkey. It can be used to integrate maps into websites and mobile applications, and use routing technologies for freight transport, the company's press service reported.
A number of tools and solutions based on the new service are opening up for international and Russian companies:
- Tools for searching and displaying addresses on the map ("Geocoder", "Geosuggest" and "Search for organizations");
- Interactive maps for websites and applications JavaScript API, MapKit SDK, Static API and Tiles API (allow you to designate delivery zones and highlight objects on the map);
- Navigation solutions "Distance Matrix" and "Getting Route Details".
The company noted that the technologies will be useful in retail, mining, logistics, fintech and telecommunications. The quality of the service will be ensured by the local Yandex team.

The Yandex Maps API is used by 50,000 companies worldwide. The service is available in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
