Specialists from OOO "Open Mobile Platform" (a Rostelecom asset) are developing the sixth version of the domestic mobile OS Aurora. This was announced by Dariy Khalitov, Vice President for Information Technology at Rostelecom.
The firmware is planned to be updated every one and a half to two years.
Currently, the sixth version of the operating system is already in development.
According to Khalitov, the fifth version has been supplemented with a browser based on the Chromium engine. He emphasized that Rostelecom will develop the ecosystem around the Aurora platform.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that smartphones, laptops, and tablets running on the fifth generation of the Aurora OS are being released to the market.
