All tickets for river transport in the capital will soon be available for purchase through a unified system. The Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, has ordered the creation of special points of sale at river piers, in parks, and other public places.
The future unified ticket sales points will become an alternative to private kiosks at water transport departure points. The ticket offices will be designed in the same style as the piers, and all information about trips will be displayed on multimedia screens.
The processing and storage of information when buying tickets is planned to be carried out in a unified register. This approach will protect citizens from purchasing invalid travel documents and will increase market transparency. Payment in the unified system will be carried out using cash and non-cash payments.
With the introduction of a unified system, it will be easier for users of water transport to plan a route, navigate by time, and compare travel prices. In the unified system, you can choose your favorite excursion route provided by many commercial shipping organizations.
Significant changes are taking place in the water passenger transport system in the capital. In 2023, the number of trips increased by 22% compared to last year and amounted to 2.2 million. Regular water routes have been launched, on which 14 electric vessels now ply.
Earlier www1.ru reported that five river routes will appear in Moscow by 2030.
