The company "MTS" plans to monitor the condition of its mobile communication stations using unmanned aerial vehicles. UAVs will allow inspecting the condition of various vertical infrastructure objects without physical human participation.
To implement the pilot project, it is currently planned to purchase only one drone. Information about a possible purchase has already appeared on the operator's website. The DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone (or similar) has been selected as the model, and its cost is 1 million rubles.
The drone inspector must have a number of technical characteristics for operation. Its weight should not exceed 9 kg, and its carrying capacity should be 2.7 kg. The flight time reaches one hour. The model should also be equipped with a zoom camera, and the information transmission range should be at least 8 km.
The use of large UAV models is prohibited in Russia. Despite this, examples of drone operation already exist. For example, Rosseti investigated power lines using UAVs, and Gazprom-Neft transports oil samples with their help.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia is launching the production of new fire-fighting drones.
