At a meeting at the headquarters of the Joint Group of Forces, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was presented with the results of the modernization of standard weapons to improve the fight against enemy drones and FPV drones.
The head of the department inspected a heavy machine gun with two ammunition feed systems and a sighting system. Shoigu checked the dimensions of the weapon, grabbing its handles. In his opinion, the horizontal axis movement unit of the machine gun turned out to be too stiff. The minister recommended making improvements.

Modernized Grenades and Drone Interceptors
Shoigu was then shown various types of grenades, as well as a drone interceptor. The minister examined each of the presented means of destruction with interest.

F-1 is a hand-held anti-personnel defensive grenade. It is designed to defeat manpower. Smoke grenades are used to mask military personnel from aimed fire.

Increasing Production Volumes of Weapons and Repairs
Shoigu said that it is necessary to increase the volume and quality of weapons and military equipment, and means of destruction supplied to the troops. He added that the Ministry of Defense has concluded state contracts with industrial enterprises for the manufacture of the most demanded models of weapons.
Shoigu also drew attention to improving the efficiency of repair and restoration units. He instructed to reduce the repair time of engines, units and assemblies of military equipment, as well as increase the fund of spare parts and components for the operational repair of equipment and weapons.
Earlier, Shoigu in the "Patriot" center inspected a multi-purpose robotic transport and other types of weapons.
