Russian holding KMZ (Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant) has launched the production of bimetallic bearings for high-power diesel engines. Thus, the company has replaced the products of the Austrian company MIBA, said Mikhail Danilenko, Managing Director of the holding.
The Austrians failed to spoil the mood of Russian industrialists and break technological chains
According to him, the plant produces bearings of various configurations for its own needs and for third-party customers. Plain bearings are installed on both diesel engines and gas turbine units.
Danilenko noted that in addition to its own production of bearings, KMZ has a testing complex for testing the results of the work of engineers. The company's management had to purchase additional equipment, but this is important to ensure the technological independence of the country, he concluded.
The Austrian company MIBA left the Russian market due to Western sanctions. Until 2022, it provided bearings to almost all enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, the automotive industry and the military-industrial complex of Russia. Its bearings were also used in Rosatom.
