In Russia, test operation of modern breathing apparatus for underwater work, produced by the domestic NPP "Respirator", has begun.
Representatives of the "Dobrotvorets" community agreed to test it at various depths and in different climatic conditions. It includes professional divers, rescuers and diving instructors who help search for missing people on the water throughout Russia.
The first dives of divers with modern VR-172 regulators and LAM-18 lung governors began in Moscow.
Experts, after the first dives, noted the comfort when working with our equipment in the under-ice space, the ease of breathing and the frost resistance of the equipment. After analyzing all the feedback from the volunteer group, our specialists plan to improve the products and develop and release new equipment that surpasses foreign counterparts.
LAM-18 are designed for use in diving breathing apparatus with an open breathing circuit and serve to supply gas. The devices can operate at air temperatures from -10°C to +50°C and water temperatures from 0°C to +35°C.
VR-172 has a different task. They serve to reduce the pressure of air or oxygen-nitrogen mixture when breathing through oxygen-breathing equipment under water.
The equipment of the "Rostec" subsidiary is produced entirely from domestic components. According to expert estimates, it is not inferior to foreign analogues.
