The Izhevsk "Kupol" plant is completing the development of the armored combat vehicle "Typhoon-Air Defense", which in 2019, still at the stage of a preliminary prototype, participated in the international competitions in China "Clear Sky". The heavy equipment took second place, said the director of the enterprise, Fanil Ziyatdinov.

The purpose of the "Typhoon-Air Defense" armored vehicle is to increase the mobility and protection of anti-aircraft gunners armed with MANPADS.

- 3 sets of radar identification systems
Earlier, a version of the "Typhoon" armored vehicle for the Airborne Forces was presented. The combat vehicle is equipped with a 2S41 "Drok" mortar.
