In the Volgograd region, it is planned to use wind to generate electrical energy. By 2030, wind farms with a total capacity of over a thousand MW will be built.
The United Dispatch Control of the Southern Power System announced the construction of the Novoalekseevskaya WPP with a capacity of 16.8 MW. It is expected to be commissioned this year. In addition, the construction of the Olkhovskaya WPP with a capacity of 307.8 MW is planned, which will start operating in 2025.
By 2026, the capacity of the Volzhskaya HPP will be increased by 6% due to the modernization of hydro unit No. 7 - the last of the 22 units to be replaced. Investments in the project will amount to more than 50 billion rubles.
Earlier, Rosatom announced that they plan to increase electricity production by a quarter through the construction of new nuclear power plants.
