Для российских беспилотников самолетного типа разработали скоростную «Свирель»

New domestic electric motor will accelerate them by 20-30%

The Moscow Design Bureau "Motokhrom," which is part of the NTI "Energynet," has developed a new electric motor for fixed-wing drones called "Svirel." It is 90% import-independent. Only bearings and magnets are sourced from abroad.

As the developers of the engine told Gazeta.Ru, the motor with a total power of 3 kW has a shaft rotation frequency of up to 12 thousand revolutions per minute. It allows increasing the flight speed of drones by 20-30% and can handle even drones that weigh more than 30 kilograms. The speed enhancement effect is achieved due to the coaxial design, which ensures the paired operation of screws in opposite directions and with a small gap, which increases the stability of drone control.

At the stage of the pilot series, the cost of each motor will be about 85 thousand rubles, the first prototype of "Svirel" will be tested in April this year.

"Motokhrom" already has experience in producing electric motors for UAS and UAVs. This is the MKhKB.4.3 line of electric motors, which is based on the "Drozd" electric motor from the same manufacturer.
