The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Ayrat Khairullin, announced that a backbone center for the production of semiconductor and microelectronic products will be created in the special economic zone (SEZ) "Innopolis". The project will become international.
It is expected that the cluster will provide microelectronics to Russia, the CIS countries, and other friendly states. However, the development of this project will require large investments.
In November, the ICL group of companies launched a plant for surface mounting of motherboards in Innopolis. About 2 billion rubles were invested in the production. It is specified that up to 300 thousand products will be produced here per year.
At the end of 2023, it became known that up to 30 thousand motherboards will be produced in Moscow at the"Neks-T" company plant.
