JSC "NII Stali", which is part of "Kalashnikov", likeother enterprises of the concern, increased the volume of work performed in 2023.
The state defense order has tripled compared to 2022. To implement it, several new production sites were even created and specialized production was doubled.
Last year at "NII Stali":
- adopted a dynamic protection complex for the BMP-3 and organized its serial production;
- launched the serial development of KSSZ for T-90M, T-80 BVM and T-72B3 tanks;
- established serial production of new dynamic protection elements, including 4S24, 4S25;
- mastered a new product niche related to the development and production of additional anti-splinter protection for unarmored special equipment for a number of Russian security agencies;
- launched the serial production of the "Aegis" anti-splinter blanket and the "Elbrus-T" titanium helmet;
- completed the supply of products under two foreign contracts to friendly countries.
In general, "NII Stali" notes that it is currently conducting more than 40 R&D projects on topics related to improving the protection of combat tank military equipment.
