Specialists from the Grozny design bureau "Tallamho" presented the acoustic reconnaissance system BUH1a ("Owl") - a budget analogue of the 1B75 "Penicillin" complex.
The developers explained that "Owl" works on the same principle as "Penicillin". It receives and processes acoustics from shots and explosions, calculating the coordinates of the enemy's weapons.
In just one minute, BUH1a receives the exact location of the firing position. Its range varies within 100 m - 20 km. The "Tallamho" product cannot be detected or jammed by electronic warfare equipment.
The "Owl" has already been shown to representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Its tests at the training ground are expected soon. The main feature of the system is its budget cost (less than 100 thousand rubles per unit) - it is assembled from civilian components that can be found in a regular store.
