The Moscow Department of Transportation announced that in 2024, all street parking in the city will be free for 22 days.
Drivers will be able to park for free:
- from January 1 to 8
- from February 23 to 24
- from March 8 to 9
- from April 29 to 30
- May 1
- from May 9 to 11
- June 12
- November 4
- from December 30 to 31
This year there will be 51 Sundays, on these days you can not pay for parking, except for streets with tariffs of 380 rubles/hour and 450 rubles/hour. The department clarified that parking lots where a barrier is installed will continue to operate at normal rates.
According to the head of the Moscow Department of Transportation, Maxim Liksutov, 21 new parking lots with a barrier appeared in Moscow in 2023. More than a thousand courtyards were improved with the money received by the capital's authorities from parking lots.
