Russian President Vladimir Putin personally visited Severodvinsk on December 11, where he attended the flag-raising ceremony on the submarines "Krasnoyarsk" and "Emperor Alexander III", and also visited the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Kasatonov" for inspection. This warship is the second in the series of Project 22350 with hypersonic weapons. The tests of the hypersonic "Zircon" missiles themselves took place on the lead frigate of the project - "Admiral Gorshkov".

During the visit to "Admiral Kasatonov", the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, told Vladimir Putin about plans to arm ten Project 22350 frigates with hypersonic "Zircons". According to him, the experience gained during operation on "Admiral Gorshkov" is being transferred to "Admiral Kasatonov", and the experience of the two ships will be transferred to "Admiral Golovko".

It is worth recalling that the United Shipbuilding Corporation reported on the completion of the factory sea trials and state tests of the frigate "Admiral Golovko" of Project 22350 earlier this month.
