The manufacturer of data storage systems, Aquarius computers, will organize its own showroom in Naypyidaw, Myanmar in 2024. The presented equipment will run on Linux OS.
As the company explained, the agreement was signed with a distributor in Myanmar back in September 2023. At the same time, Aquarius does not disclose the name of the local company.
It is known that at the end of November, meetings were held between the management of the Russian company and the authorities of Myanmar. Aquarius considers the country a ready market for telecommunications equipment. The company is mainly focused on the public sector, but it does not yet have any real contracts.
The main goal of Aquarius is to enter international markets. Myanmar is seen as a potential partner country, as it is also under sanctions, like Russia.
It was previously reported that Aquarius launched mass production of import-substituted monitors.
