The Rostec State Corporation will receive over 9 billion rubles from the federal budget in the coming years for the implementation of the satellite system project for overview optical-electronic surveying "Grifon", which is confirmed by the figures given in the draft budget for 2024-2026, adopted in the second reading.
As part of the project, it is planned to allocate 2.68 billion rubles for these purposes in 2024, 3.77 billion rubles in 2025, and 2.58 billion rubles in 2026. "Grifon" has been included in the program for creating a satellite grouping "Sfera", which involves launching 162 devices into orbit.
According to Rostec, the launch of four small-sized satellites "Grifon" will be carried out next year, and the remaining 132 - in the period from 2025 to 2026.
It is expected that spacecraft will be able to transmit data about Russia every 30 hours, and from the rest of the world - every 38 hours. The goal of "Grifon" is to monitor the environment and mining, and regulate traffic flows.
The volume of the global space industry in 2023 amounted to about $400-450 billion. Analysts believe that by 2030 this figure could reach $1.4 trillion. The United States, Russia and China still dominate in space.
At the same time, Roscosmos and the China National Space Administration are cooperating in a number of areas, including sending the PmL device ("Lunar Dust Monitoring") of Russian production to the Moon using the Chinese apparatus "Chang'e-7".
