Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov showed President Vladimir Putin the Desertcross 1000-3 military all-terrain vehicle during his visit to the headquarters of the Southern Military District (YuVO) in Rostov-on-Don. It is noted that the vehicle is used by Russian military personnel, including for transporting mortars and ATGMs.
An all-terrain vehicle 3.3 m long and 1.78 m wide can be used for reconnaissance, as well as for raids and rescue operations in rough terrain. The Desertcross 1000-3, whose ground clearance is 31 cm, can overcome a ford up to 0.4 m deep.
The cabin accommodates three people, and up to 530 kg of cargo can be installed on the cargo platforms (front and rear). In addition, the Desertcross 1000-3 is capable of towing a trailer with 300 kg.
The all-terrain vehicle received a gasoline engine with a capacity of 87 hp. At low and medium speeds, it has excellent traction. The vehicle is capable of speeds up to 80 km/h.
Desertcross 1000-3 is offered in two colors: yellow and black. The cost of an all-terrain vehicle starts from 1.9 million rubles.
Earlier, during his visit to Beijing, Putin stated that Chinese cars have become popular among Russian motorists. In his opinion, this is due to their quality.
