Specialists from the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (TsKBR) presented the Khrust reconnaissance FPV drone [First-Person View - first-person view - editor's note www1.ru] to detect sources of air pollution, said Dmitry Kuzyakin, head of the center.
According to him, the organization is considering peaceful scenarios for using combat FPV drones. As part of this work, the Khrust drone was created, which is capable of recording the fact of environmental pollution with chemical and radioactive substances.
Kuzyakin emphasized that the unmanned complex scans the atmosphere with an area of several blocks in a few seconds and detects a leak. Khrust can be used by public utilities and employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The FPV drone is a full-fledged combat crew, only instead of ammunition, sensors are installed on it as a payload, recording the level of radiation and poisonous gases. «Khrust» can also be used to monitor the state border, inspect fishing vessels, and monitor critical transport infrastructure - bridges and crossings. The image is transmitted in real time to the virtual reality helmet of the operator of such a drone.
Earlier, Rostec reported that Russian light armored vehicles could receive FPV drones. Drones will be included in the basic set of weapons.
