The Center for Complex Unmanned Solutions (CCUS) specialists presented the FPV reconnaissance drone (carries a camera for transmitting images to the operator - ed. note www1.ru) “Crust” for detecting sources of air pollution, said the head of the center, Dmitry Kuziakin.
According to him, the organization is considering peaceful scenarios for the use of combat FPV drones. As part of this work, the “Crust” drone was created, which is able to record pollution of the environment by chemical and radioactive substances.
Kuziakin emphasized that the unmanned complex scans the atmosphere of several blocks in a matter of seconds and detects a leak. “Crust” can be used by utilities and Russsian Ministry of Emergency Situations employees.
The FPV drone is a full-fledged combat unit, only instead of ammunition, sensors that detect the level of radiation, poisonous gases are installed on it as a payload. “Crust” can also be used for monitoring state borders, inspecting fishing vessels, observing critically important transport infrastructure - bridges and crossings.
Earlier, Rostech reported that Russian light armored vehicles can receive FPV drones. UAVs will become part of the basic set of weapons.
