Rostselmash, in collaboration with RariTEK Holding JSC, presented the Rostselmash 2375 tractor, which runs on liquefied natural gas (LNG). The model was shown at the site of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
The new tractor belongs to the sixth traction class. Rostselmash 2375 became the first agricultural machine that was converted to run on LNG. The sample received an RGK 820.636-380 engine, which is capable of producing 380 "horses". The capacity of the LNG fuel tank is 1100 liters, compressed natural gas methane (CNG) - 200 liters.
According to RariTEK Holding, the order to modify the Rostselmash 2375 tractor, which originally ran on diesel fuel, was received in the spring of 2023. The company's specialists first developed a 3D model of the future gas fuel system, and then made it in full size.
LNG tanks were placed in the rear of the tractor, and CNG cylinders were placed instead of the dismantled diesel tanks. After that, the engineers finalized the exhaust system, electrical system and other important systems of the tractor.
Earlier it was reported that it is planned to launch the assembly of BELARUS 1221.3 tractors in Tatarstan. The equipment for the agricultural sector will run on gas.
