The main armament is in the uninhabited tower of the combat vehicle. In addition to 2A42 guns, a PKTM machine gun of 7.62 mm caliber, two AGS-17 grenade launchers are installed here. The BMP-2 also carries 4 "Attack-T" missiles on board.
