Летают на самолете, бьют на более чем 24 км – что известно про новые российские самоходные гаубицы «Мальва»

The First Batch of "Malvas" from "Rostec" Has Already Been Delivered to the Ministry of Defense

The state corporation "Rostec" has handed over the first batch of new 152-mm self-propelled artillery guns "Malva" to the Ministry of Defense.

The newest artillery system is distinguished by its mobility, can automatically fire all types of ammunition, and operate in simultaneous fire raid mode.

They are designed to destroy command posts, defensive structures, artillery, rocket and mortar batteries, air defense systems, columns of armored vehicles, and enemy manpower.

Characteristics of the "Malva" Self-Propelled Gun

The self-propelled gun is all-wheel drive and runs on a diesel engine. It is built on the BAZ chassis with an 8x8 wheel arrangement. Thanks to its wheeled chassis, it can quickly deploy to a position and leave it, avoiding return fire. It can also:

  • travel off-road and on public roads without refueling for a distance of up to 1100 km;
  • be transported by Il-76 aircraft over long distances;
  • fire at a rate of more than seven rounds per minute in several directions;
  • destroy targets with high-explosive fragmentation shells at a range of over 24 km.

In addition, the manufacturing company indicates that this model of armament is relatively inexpensive to produce.
